Huts

The LMC has huts in the Lake District and in North Wales. A calendar showing their availability is available here online.

We have a recently finished hut Cae Ysgubor in Beddgelert, located centrally in the Snowdonia National Park, custom built for outdoor activities.

We also have a Lakeland hut, The Loft, on land belonging to the National Trust near Blea Tarn, above the head of Langdale.

Members may use both Huts without prior booking. However please check the website calendar for availability before heading to the huts as they could be rented out exclusively to other groups, particularly at weekends. It might be useful to email hut-booking@lancsmc.org . This will give people an opportunity to see if other members are staying at the Huts.

We would also advise members to use common sense and avoid using the Huts if they have any Covid like symptoms and to take a Lateral Flow Test if possible before visiting the hut.

Use of Electric Vehicle Charger at Cae Ysgubor

The Cae Ysgubor EV charger is available to hut users who have had their blue RFID hut key fob previously enabled, in order to activate the charger. Holders of these blue key fobs who are LMC members (and who normally pay their subscriptions and hut fees by Direct Debit through Webcollect) will receive an email notification of the amount charged and the cost of the charge will be debited by Direct Debit, normally within a few days. The charge made for use of the EV charger facility will be calculated as the current charge per Kw-Hour unit made by LMC’s supplier plus 10%. At the present time (as this in a new introductory service) there is no facility for processing payments by other types of hut users, other than LMC members who are registered with WebCollect. This restriction may change in the none-too-distant future.

EV charger users must provide their own link cable to connect to the Cae Ysgubor EV charger.

Exclusive Booking

Each of the huts is also available for exclusive booking and/or by external groups
